Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Project
Written by Regional Wastewater Coordinating Committee

In May 2006, the city councils of South Bend and Raymond met in joint session for what was reported to be the first time that they had ever done so. This meeting was the start of a process whereby an agreement was reached between the cities to construct regional wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities. Meeting about once a month, elected officials and concerned citizens from both communities crafted the agreement. After two years of development, the Intergovernmental Contract was signed by the cities in May 2008.

The Regional Wastewater Coordinating Committee (RWCC) meets regularly and if you are interested in attending a meeting please contact city hall for the time, date and location.
