Description of Project: This project proposes creating a new lot (Tract 5), ± 0.97 in area, from Lot 4 within the Triplett Short Plat No. 1 (see attached proposed short subdivision). The lot is adjacent and have access to Robert Bush Drive/US Highway101.
Open Record Public Hearing: This project requires an open record hearing before the City of South Bend Planning Commission. This hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m., October 16, 2018, in the Council Chambers of the South Bend City Hall, 1102 W. First Street.
Public Comment: Any person may attend the open record public hearing to provide oral or written comment regarding the project. The city will accept written comments on the Notice of Application until the time and date of the open record public hearing. Written comments can be hand-delivered or mailed to: City Supervisor, South Bend City Hall, 1102 W. First Street, PO Drawer 9, South Bend, WA 98586.
Decision: Upon completion of the open record public hearing by the Planning Commission, they will submit a written report containing findings, conclusions, and recommendation on the preliminary short subdivision to the City Council. The City Council will consider the report and may decide to approve, approve with conditions, or deny the preliminary short subdivision application.
Appeal: The City Council will hear one closed record appeal for this application. Any person wishing to appeal the decision shall file it with the city within 14 days of the Notice of Decision.
Environmental Review: This project is categorically exempt under the State Environmental Policy Act per WAC 197-11-800(6)(d).
Notice of Decision: Any person may request a copy of the Notice of Decision by submitting a written request to the City Supervisor. Decisions of the Board of Adjustment are final.
