The City of South Bend Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2014, in the South Bend City Hall Council Chambers, 1102 West First Street, for receiving public comment on the proposed adoption of a Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan is a policy document that guides public and private development within the city over the next 20 years. It contains goals and policies for future development relating to land use, housing, public facilities and services, utilities, and transportation.
The plan is a requirement under the Growth Management Act (Chapter 36.70A RCW) and conforms to the guidelines required for comprehensive provided under Chapter 365-196 WAC.
Copies of the proposed Comprehensive Plan are available for public review during normal working hours at the South Bend City Hall, the South Bend City Library, and on the City Website.
Any person wishing to speak for or against this proposal is welcome to attend the public hearing, or may submit written comments by delivering them before 4:00 p.m., July 15, 2014 to the South Bend City Hall, 1102 W. First Street, PO Drawer 9, South Bend, WA 98586.
